Yesterday, our first day in Taiwan was shaped by jet lag from all of us. We stayed close to the hotel for the most part, trying to stay awake until at least 7 pm before falling asleep.
We are staying at the Landis hotel in Taipei, the same hotel we stayed at when we brought Elli home. As we had enjoyed last time, they have maintained the "1920's in Paris" Art Deco theme with flowers and fixtures throughout.
The rooms, however, are larger this time around. Elli even has her own little couch bed to sleep in (when she isn't climbing in to hug/attack/wake up Mommy at 3:30 am... Jet lag stinks!)
We were able to visit Xintian Temple, about a block and a half away from the hotel before we were ready to collapse after a trip for take-out dumplings.
